What we look for in a Palmyre piece
The piece
Number of rows, diamonds only or combined with sapphires, white gold or rose gold: each piece is appraised individually.
The stones
Quantity, carat weight, and quality of diamonds and colored stones, consistency of the setting, original or replaced stones.
The signature
VCA or Van Cleef & Arpels, serial number, metal fineness, and legal hallmarks engraved on the piece. We verify them in your presence.
Condition and documentation
Missing stones, worn prongs, altered pieces: we inspect them under magnification. Original box and certificate are welcome, but not required.
A high jewelry piece
Every piece of high jewelry is appraised individually: the gemstones, their carat weight, and their quality matter just as much as the signature. The examination is conducted with complete discretion at 43 rue Beaubourg; for significant collections in France, an on-site visit by our expert can be arranged.

The name of the house and the model are sufficient: send a photo via WhatsApp or call 01 48 87 81 44. We will immediately let you know if the piece matches what we are seeking. We never provide price estimates from photographs alone.
The appraisal, in your presence
At 43 rue Beaubourg, with or without an appointment, Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The gemologist authenticates the piece, inspects the stones and overall condition, and explains its value. Allow approximately twenty minutes.
Firm offer and payment
If you accept the offer, payment is issued immediately by bank transfer upon presentation of valid ID (legal requirement). If you decline, you leave with your jewelry, free of charge.

Describe the piece in 3 steps: a state-certified gemologist will reply within 24 h and tell you if it matches what we are looking for. The price is then determined during the in-person appraisal, with the piece in hand — free of charge and without obligation.
