Selling a Harry Winston Solitaire in Paris
Harry Winston, known as the "King of Diamonds", built his reputation on the stone rather than the setting: platinum solitaires with discreet prongs, often accompanied by a laboratory certificate. Do you own a Harry Winston solitaire and wish to sell it in Paris?
Our appraisal office at 43 rue Beaubourg (Paris 3rd) examines your piece in your presence, verifies the signature and hallmarks, and presents you with a firm offer. The appraisal is free and carries no obligation. Already have an offer elsewhere? We commit to beating it.
What we evaluate
What we evaluate on a Harry Winston solitaire
The diamond
Carat weight, color, clarity, cut: on a solitaire, the diamond represents the core value. A solitaire of one carat and above is precisely what we are looking for.
The setting and signature
The brand signature, metal fineness (platinum or gold), and hallmarks engraved inside the band.
Certificates
Laboratory certificates (GIA foremost) and brand documentation: they document the stone, though they are not strictly required.
Condition
Worn prongs, misshapen band, chips on the girdle: we inspect everything under a loupe.
One solitaire, two values
A signed solitaire is valued first for the stone, and second for the maison. See also our page on selling diamonds in Paris and our page dedicated to Harry Winston.
What we do not purchase
A very small, lightweight piece may not always justify an in-person visit: send us a photo and the model name, and we will tell you honestly if it matches what we are seeking. We do not purchase replicas, costume or plated jewelry, nor silver jewelry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Selling a Harry Winston solitaire: your questions
My Harry Winston solitaire has a GIA certificate: should I bring it?+
Yes, if available: it documents the stone and facilitates the evaluation. We always inspect the diamond itself; without a certificate, the stone can be fully graded during the appraisal.
How much is a Harry Winston solitaire worth?+
We do not quote prices remotely: the value depends on the variation, metal, stones, and condition, which can only be determined with the piece in hand. During the appraisal, the offer is explained criterion by criterion, and you remain entirely free to decline.
Can I sell a Harry Winston solitaire without the original box or invoice?+
Yes. The box, invoice, and certificate are welcome but not strictly necessary: many family heirlooms no longer have them. Authenticity, signature, and hallmarks are verified directly on the piece at our counter.
Do I need to make an appointment?+
No. We welcome you with or without an appointment, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. For a guaranteed time without waiting, please call us at 01 48 87 81 44.
Can you provide information before I visit?+
Yes: send us a photo and the model name via WhatsApp, and we will let you know if the piece matches what we are looking for. We never provide price estimates based on photos: authenticity, condition, and gemstones can only be assessed with the piece in hand.
How will I be paid?+
If you accept our offer, payment is made immediately by bank transfer upon presentation of valid ID (legal requirement). The offer is firm: no consignment, no commissions, no waiting for a buyer.
I have already received an offer elsewhere: can you beat it?+
Yes. If a competitor has already made you an offer, our house commits to beating it. Show us the piece before making a decision: the appraisal is free and without obligation.
